Hello magpiejst - we share 21 books in common and after reading your list of books, it seems we share a love of Mexico and Mexican folk art. I invite you to visit our website at www.ladap.org and consider joining our national non-profit organization named Los Amigos del Arte Popular. Our goal is to promote & educate the public about Mexican folk art and we use our membership dues and trip registration fees to carry out those projects. We last published an Artes de Mexico book in cooperation with them about the glazed pottery made in Tlaquepaque between 1920-1945; two of our members were contributing writers and all photos used are pieces owned by our members. Happy hunting and have fun reading! - Cathey Merrill
Hi magpiejst:

I notice that you have several Joseph Cornell books in your library. I want to buy a book about his assemblage art but would like to see the books before I buy or at least have some recommendations from someone who has several of his (i.e rather than buying unseen and uninformed online.)I live in Australia so foreign art books are really expensive by the time they come from overseas - for instance, Shadowplay Eterniday is Aust$120! I buy most of mine now through Amazon.com as I find it's much cheaper than buying them here, even with freight added. I can only find Shadowplay and Master of Dreams in our local art gallery bookshops. Which of the Joseph Cornell books that you have, or know about, do you recommend as having the most colour images and the best information? Thanks.

I notice you also have heaps of collage books (lucky you!), some of which I share. Jo
