About me Born and raised in England, I have lived in Italy and the USA, and for the last 12 years, in Israel - where I expect to stay.

I am a marketing consultant, working for various clients in the USA and Israel.

I am currently studying for a "second career" as a licensed tour guide. In a country like Israel, where every square meter has at least 12 layers of history, one lifetime may not be sufficient to learn all I need to know - but I am trying.

About my library My non-fiction reading gives a far better idea of who I am than the fiction, so I have decided to catalog only the former.

Earlier in life, my interests were mainly scientific - physics/cosmology and evolution. While I am still avidly interested in anything to do with evolution, physics/cosmology does not seem to have moved on recently (or perhaps it is me that has not moved on). For whatever reason - and I find that one certainly has to make trade-offs in one's reading choices - history and archaeology now makes up the second major theme in my library.
