The expectations for Obama are higher than any other President. Part of that is, I think, because we are in so much trouble after the past 8 years. Another part is what he represents as the first black President. We all have to realize he cannot possibly make everyone happy. My greatest concern is for his safety.

Sounds like you have had a very interesting life so far. Good luck and congratulations on finishing your education.
As I write this I am watching the inauguration of Pres. Obama so I am very, very happy today. I read about all cultures - anything I can get my hands on. But that is true of all my reading. I read anything and everything. I am very curious and have always sought to feed my questions with education - formal and autodidactic. I can honestly say I don't have particular favorites among my cookbooks. I love Nigella Lawson's recipes, there are books I just to look at and there books kind of messy because I cook with them a lot. When I get a new cookbook I read all the recipes and the text and then put it on the shelf. But like any other book I have then absorbed something which will get incorporated into my cooking and my life.

What do you do? Do you work?

Take care.
