About meSee what you can divine from the collection.

About my libraryI have not included those books I read or perused over the years in public libraries. I have read most of the titles listed here though some remain unfinished having been discarded in favour of other subjects and authors. I do not intend to list books I would like to have on my shelves. I find reading a source of joy and solace, as well as a prompt to action.

Ah, you mean Phil Chilton do you? Yep I know comrade Phil pretty well.
Hello there Malcontent;

Thanks for replying. I don't know Phil but I will look him up (I assume he is also a LT'er?). Intro's to Marx; Ben Fine and Alfred Saad-Filho Marx's Capital 4th edition, is short, straightforward and pretty good, with extensive suggestions for further reading in each chapter. David McLellan The Thought of Karl Marx is textbooky and a bit dull, but reliable on everything except politcla economy, but Fine will give you that. Subject of my thesis: I am writing about the political / activist dimensions to Immanuel Wallerstein's World System Theory.

I am running a not for credit reading course on Marx's Capital for soem enthusiastic undergrads at UWA next year. Send me an e-mail address and I'll send you the syllabus. if you are interested you are welcome to join us. I may also be starting a course on contemporary history using Klein as a core text through the Gaia library.

As the yanks say, Happy Holidays! Cedric
We have a lot of books in common, more than the software shows as mine (like yours) are not yet all catalogued. I suspect from your review of Paul Foot, a number of views in common as well. And we both live in Perth! Have you read Naomi Klein's new book yet? If so, what did you think?
