About meI teach creative writing and first-year writing at the University of Minnesota, Morris, a small, public liberal arts college on the prairie, where I also coordinate the service-learning program. I recently adopted a teenage girl. Besides reading and writing, I love anything that supports the arts, community-building and social justice.

About my libraryI love poetry, good literary memoirs, and good literary fiction. I'm also interested in explorations of spirituality, GLBT identity, social justice, and adoption.
