About meDraw your own conclusions from my library. You might be wrong, but at least you won't have been lied to (by me, that is).

About my library"He also thought of plans for fetching his few utensils and books from Norcombe. The Young Man's Best Companion, The Farrier's Sure Guide, The Veterinary Surgeon, Paradise Lost, The Pilgrim's Progress, Robinson Crusoe, Ash's Dictionary, and Walkingame's Arithmetic, constituted his library; and though a limited series, it was one from which he had acquired more sound information by diligent perusal than many a man of opportunities has done from a furlong of laden shelves."
--Thomas Hardy, Far From the Madding Crowd
I am in the (long, slow) process of rebuilding my library after a freak flooding accident destroyed most of my books. (They were submerged in six feet of water for several days. Not good for books.) What's left is a mash-up of grad school texts, books I liked when I was 15, lovely fiction, books purchased just before boarding an airplane, and survivors of the Flood. (Hey, I can start my own myth!)
