About my libraryOctober 2007: I (Marieke) begin cataloguing our library. We both love reading immensely, but my better half prefers to be a "stand-alone reader" and will not participate actively in this venture. All the books are on our shelves.

November 2007: Start of some new tags for those books we borrowed from libraries and want to recall. So no longer all catalogued books are on our shelves only. The new tags are dob, kb, ppl, (kb = royal library, dob = public library, ppl = peace palace library)

Spring 2008: We decide to add our dvd's. New tags dvd movie, dvd docu etc.

September 2010: the e-reader arrives in our lives. Start of tag e-book. A growing number of our books are on the hard disk now, and since December 2012 some are "in the cloud"...

marieke54---

Thanks for your appreciative reviews of Peter Levi's "The Hill Of Kronos" (one of my favorite travel-memoirs) and of Queller & Madden's "The Fourth Crusade: The Conquest Of Constantinople", which I've not yet read, but which---in good part, as a result of your review---I've now added to my "Wishlist".

Also, the delightful picture in your gallery, of the little girl with the drum, reminds me of family photos of my wife (when she was that age) and of our daughters & grandchildren: exuberantly engaged with life, delighted to be alive---at least that's how I read the picture!

Wishing you & yours

All The Best!
