Hi, Marisa! Thanks so much for letting me know that you enjoyed Veil of Roses! Check Target in a couple weeks for my new one, One True Theory of Love.

I enjoyed A Thousand Splendid Suns, too. And I haven't yet read Water for Elephants, although everyone tells me I should. My book club read it and had a great discussion about it, but I hadn't made the time to read it.

Take care, and have a good week!
Laura
Hi Marisa,
Thanks so much for your comment! I'm really glad you enjoyed SLIVER and appreciate you taking the time to write.
All the best,

L
Hi Marisa! Thanks for connecting with me! I do hope you like Veil of Roses - and would love to know what other books your friend recommended that you liked. I'm always looking for a good read! Take care, Laura
You are a big show off. I wouldn't think that you were that way. lol I haven't finished one book but rather enjoying the books I am reading.

I usually don't read two books at the same time but I made an acception. When in bed I read my little book [Marley and Me] and during the day, which isn't often at all, I try and read a page or two of [The Big Book of Canadian Ghost Stories]. And let me tell ya...it's a BIG book. I also have a story in that book so I had picked it to be my first for 2009.

Me? I am fine. How about you? Had to take my husband to the hospital on Jan 2 on my son's birthday and today we went to visit friends that live 3 hours away who's house burnt down and have lost everything.

Not a whole lot of time to read books but then again I have the whole year right?

What was your first book?

I would love to read more of Lisa Unger's but I promised myself I wouldn't buy any books this year. I already have way too many. The only one I have read was Beautiful Lies. My bestest friend in the whole wide world buys a lot of books and enjoyed Beautiful Lies so I am hoping she will buy it and lend it to me.

I have heard of A Thousand Splendid Suns. I read his other...ummm, what was that called? Oh shoot I can't remember it. I will have to check my library. Could it have been The Kite Runner?

Hope to run into you soon. Happy New Year.
Thanks for adding me.
