I just reread Price of Loyalty a year after I first read it. Events of the past 6 months make his plan to put in place a Complete Economic Plan rather than just, as in the case of Bush "tax cuts". I don't see that Obama is taking the time for a full economic plan either. He doesn't seem to think that he has time to do this. However, it would be interesting to see O'Neill consulted from the point of view of his experience. His background in manufacturing peeps through frequently.

I reread Rise of the Vultures, too. Somehow the first time around you miss things like the Rumsfeld-Cheney connection.

And speaking of Cheney...he was even appearing at meetins as a "head" from outer space, as early as 2002. Makes him seem like some kind of God intervening in the affairs of man.
