About meEnvironmentalism and social movements are my life long passion, favored photographic subjects and the topic of my doctoral dissertation.

I reside in the greater California area.

About my libraryThis listing represents my 'shelf worthy' books, others, similar to these, lie about in various boxes and stacks...

Great writing and photography are what keeps me going --
I could never have too many good lit and photo books, never ever.

Used book stores that built my library: Green Apple, Moe's and Black Oak (Bay Area), Powells (Oregon), Strand (NYC), Midtown Scholar (Penn), and first and foremost, Logos Books in sunny Santa Cruz.

West L.A. is in desperate need of a great used book store -- someone please build one there and help those poor people.

A man named John Maloof purchaed these negatives at a furniture and antique auction. Thought you might be interested.
A BM member is offering to look for moochable books at an upcoming used book sale. This annual sale is known locally for offering art books. Just FYI, if you're interested in something on art photography, might be there. Link to discussion (if I did this right): http://www.librarything.com/topic/75028
Thank you very much Mark, for all of your help.

Hi,

I hope that you are enjoying my book, Reflections, and I look forward to reading your review.

Thanks for requesting it,

Chris Obert
Hi,your profile page is very nice
Noticed that you liked The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). I thought you might like my novel since it's been compared to that novel by a number of reviewers. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
