About meReading has always been important to me and I revere the books that I've read.

One of my joys is to read the entire oeuvre of writers I like. So far, I have "closed out" these well-known writers: Bret Easton Ellis, Thomas Friedman, J. D. Salinger, Hunter S. Thompson and Oscar Wilde.

About my libraryMy virtual library consists of books that I have read, almost all of which I own. As of November 2008, I have read 919 books.

Hi
I did read quite a few of the books before I started on 'the list', there are some books I know/think I have read that I cannot remember a thing about, sometimes a look at the reviews reminds me, sometimes not. There is a new edition with less of an Anglo-American bias and with fewer difficult/impossible to find books and multi-book authors that you might find interesting. There is a new version of the spread sheet that includes these books, some of which I have really enjoyed.

Hi
I have read about 25% of the 1001 books the rest are either in my *huge* to be read pile (tagged tbr) or on my wishlist and actively being looked for (tagged @wishlist) , one day LT promises us a better way to record intentions to buy/aquire but at the moment tagging is the best I can do. According to a wonderful spreadsheet a member of the LT group for 1001 book fans has produced, I need to read 34 books a year to complete the list.I have started and been unable to finish a few of the books and one or two seem impossible to acquire,('Adjunct , an undigest' being one - but I have read extracts and frankly I don't think I want to bother)
My LT library does not include all the books I have read and/or owned and given away/ returned to owner/ sold/ thrown out, only those since I joined LT.
Kind regards
Wendy
Hello MartinBoer. Yes Robert L. Kelley was my uncle. A wonderful man who died WAY earlier than his time and contribution to Intellectual History merited. Sigh.
