About me"... but I will walk the road however hard it is, because only on the road can you see that yesterday lies behind you and tomorrow waits on the path ahead. The road measures life in distance. The further you travel the longer you live."

Question about your copy of The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun. Did you get the deluxe American or British? I found out they were published simultaneously but I didn't know if there were any real differences. How much did you pay for yours? I have found one for 75 but I wasn't sure if you found someplace cheaper?
By the way that is indeed a cool Beowulf find.

I just mailed you letter. I'm experimenting with a new brand of seal wax so you will have to tell me how it holds up. It's on the letter inside the envelope. I'm happy to see that Tom has joined the Library Thing flock. We should consider making him a member of our industrious Dishonorable Society of Lazy Scholars and Leisurely Gentlemen, but only after we come up with some ridiculous hazing ritual. Speaking of which, we really should pick a new book to read since its been a year now, and I have yet to take the initiative to propose our next reading. I consider it living out the "lazy" element of our society. I was thinking that we should try out The World Without Us since we both have it and I think I remember you saying that you hadn't read it yet, right? That way we can continue our post-apocalyptic/ecology theme. Let me know what you think. Talk to you later,

I'm surprised that you read Dreamers of the Day, by Russell. Did you do that for the early reviewers program. Did you read The Sparrow or Children of God? They were awesome and they were science fiction. I think you would like them. I'm tempted to read this latest one that you reviewed, but the subject matter look dull compared to her previous books. Maybe I will have to give it a try. Talk to you later,

I am so jealous that you have already reviewed Anathem. I picked it up but I have not had time to read the some odd 1000 pages or so. Crazy. I have not picked up the Scourge of God (Stirling) yet. Title Wave is not particularly good at carrying his newest books. I'll probably have to order it again. Talk to you soon, heck, I'll be seeing you soon on Nov 1st. if you are in Seattle.

Glad you made it back in one piece. I heard Amy joined you for the last bit. That sounds cool.
Yes, that review was quite funny. I really liked the replies, especially the ones about Jesus preaching to the Indians.
Hilarious. We should talk soon about Nov. and Jan.

And of course, you have to love Tolkien. I see you have him listed among your favorites.
