About me Live in Noordhoek Cape Town. Rainy winters perfect for reading in front of a crackling log fire. Happy to spend all my time surrounded by books and harbour secret fantasy to be a librarian. "So many books, so little time" is my private lament.
About my library Not terribly high brow or serious, I'm afraid. Preference for fiction. A smattering of airport rubbish interspersed with holiday light-reads, popular book club bestsellers and my own personal favourites. Noticed a leaning towards Irish, Canadian and Australian writers. Am swayed by book awards - such as Man Booker, Pulitzer and Orange. Find Nobel a bit heavy going sometimes. Try to read South African works every now and again as a symbol of support for my country.

Almost half my library is shared with your library. (I think I need to read more books!)
Fancy seeing that you're based in Cape Town too, albeit on the other side of the mountain, worlds apart. :)
Have you got any recommendations on books in a similar light to Life of Pi, The Alchemist, etc?
Thanks!
Shaun
