Sam, glad you got to read it. If you are like me, you won't find it easy to forget his descriptions of winter landscapes, bridges, ships or grilled oysters. I've read some of his other work - none as near a work of fantasy. A Soldier of The Great War is probably the best novel I've read, I should've sent that one! Jim
