Hello, Michael - Not much on your profile. I'm wondering if you are German or American, since you seem to read both English and German. I'm fairly new on LT, and just searched on Kassel and found you. I spent a year stationed just outside Kassel in the US Army over 40 yrs ago and spent many happy hours at a bar there called the Duess, aka Deuce - The Duesseldorfer Haus (Hof?). I think it's still there, but has upgraded to quite a classy B&B now. I wrote a book about my army years and the last third deals with Rothwesten and Kassel. It's called SOLDIER BOY:AT PLAY IN THE ASA and is available on Amazon (in Germany and UK both, I think). Kassel was a pretty cool place to be for us GIs back in the 60s. I hope it still is. Be well, Tim
