About meFavorite book? Toss-up between The Mezzanine and The Full Catastrophe. (Recently acquired another of Carkeet's novels with the same "Catastrophe" linguist character, but haven't had time to read...Rats! I'd quit the job so I could read, but then I couldn't afford any books. I think Joseph Heller coined a phrase for this type of conundrum.)

About my libraryHeavily read during the 80s and early 90s...before the rodent race got too consuming for much reading. I keep only those books that I loved and might read again someday; everything else goes to charity or Half Price Books. Everything listed here in my library is a "keeper," so nothing will rate lower than 3 stars. There are plenty of other books I've liked -- e.g. Dick Francis' mysteries -- but didn't keep, because they were lightweight, beach-read-type books: Quick fun but not worth a revisit.
