About meMaria Romana began her writing career in the third grade, when her teacher sent home a note suggesting a career as an author, because Maria's imaginative stories and skill in expressing them made it the only logical choice. Maria took the teacher's words to heart and kept the dream alive, even while pursuing degrees in mathematics and business, and a twenty year career as a research statistician in academia, medicine, and consumer marketing.

At the age of 40-something, Maria published "Little Miss Straight Lace", a complex tale of mystery and romance, loosely based on some of Maria's experiences working in pharmaceutical research. She currently resides in NC with her husband and two children.
