About meI am a 33 year-old student at the City University of New York studying eighteenth-century American history.

About my libraryMy primary interest, as you can see from my collection, is the American Revolution. I am also interested in philosophy and the history of philosophy. This library represents all the books I have collected over the last 3-4 years as my previous collection that I had put together throughout my twenties was lost to water damage. I tend to go through sale bins at public and school libraries and usually find something relevant to my studies. I have gotten most of my older "classics" of Early American history this way. I am also a compulsive Amazon shopper, though it is usually for great deals on used books.

I'm glad you think the book will be useful, but you already thanked me (once is enough). :-)

How are you finding The Education of historians for the 21st Century -- I didn't think it too informative. It did make the point that academia should only be considered as one possible career path.

So what part of New Jersey are you from?
Hi Michael,

I was browsing your books, and noticed several interesting ones that I ended up ordering. Thanks for the ideas.

So, do you like CUNY? Have you settled on a thesis/dissertation topic?

Here's hoping your summer is going well!
