Having lived and worked in Europe and the eastern Mediteranean, my favourite subjects include ancient Greece and Rome, Byzantium, Macedonia, Bulgaria, modern Greece, Italy, Islam, and the Mid East (including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain).
