About me I'm a 30-something mum of 2, reading whenever I can find the time!

I own The Book Club Forum - if you want to chat about your books, we'd love to see you there. :)

About my library I tend to use my tags to help me categorise.
These include:
Books read - 2008
Books read - 2007
Reading now
TBR
Wish list.

I've also been lucky enough to be sent books direct from authors/publishers, which I've tagged. The reviews can be found on my forum's review blog.

Well done for finishing 'In Search of Adam'. I sent mine on to Icecream as she seemed eager to have it.

Thanks Michelle for sorting the image verification out at the Bookclubforum. See you there soon!
Thanks Michelle :)
Hi Michelle, Thanks for putting me in touch with that lady, she will be sending me both books:) Tracy
okay got it:) Tracy
I have so many of your books that you have to be a tag hee hee! :)
Hi, sorry about that. I had to activate my account (thank goodness its Friday!) It should be okay now. Thanks.
Hi: I did register for your site so I have userid and password. I would love to be added to the reviewer forum/site. I also have tons and tons of reviews that I can cut and paste if you would like them. I have been doing reviews on Amazon.com for a few years and have over 330 on there and have my own blog of reviews. When I read a book (any) book I always review it - its just a little bonus when we can get arcs on top of it! Thanks.
Hi: I have visited your blog quite a few times. I am always on the lookout for books to review (I especially have a thing for ARCS - not sure why). I was wondering where on your site you ask for reviewers? I would like to give my name. Thanks alot. TINA
Short I can do :) Will go ahead and take care of the other stuff now.
Thanks Michelle! Yet more books to add to the list lol
Woo hoo i'm still top of the weighted books! :)
Cheers for the link - that's brilliant! I am sure Linda will be super-reliable and a good subject too. I've let her know me and Heaven-Ali, who is another friend through BookCrossing, will be around!

It's one of the best things, isn't it - I feel so privileged to read something and see the creative progress. I'm a good reader and proofreader, possibly *because* I'm not creative in the slightest myself!!
Ah I didn't know about the featured authors thing (I don't think she knows I'm a LibraryThinger actually - I'll check that with her!)

Where do they post the info on who is to be a featured author, as I don't think I'm aware of that at the moment?

Not wanting to look like I'm indulging in one upmanship here, but I know Star Gazing is good cos I read it through for Linda before it was submitted... I'm still absolutely thrilled to have my name in the acknowledgements!

I'm so pleased she will be featured on here and I'll get the other LTers who know her to go on that forum so she sees a few familiar faces.

Hooray! She so deserves to be better known. I'll be interested to see what you think of A Lifetime Burning - I did enjoy it, but prefer Emotional Geology. I have a theory that we prefer the one we read first...
Hello! Do you have a review of Emotional Geology up? If you liked it, you might be interested in her new one, Star Gazing. It's not out till the end of the month, I do have a BookCrossing bookring going for my ERC copy, but it's quite long, so you might be better off buying the book if you want to read it quickly.

I LOVE EG; it was one of my top reads for 2006 and has really stayed with me. The author, Linda, is very nice too, and really appreciates hearing from her readers.
Hello back again, not been on here for a while :)
Hi: I have been catching up on blogs and discussion forums and just found your site. I am very much interested in joining your group! You can visit my blog at:

Hi came across your site via the discussion on Librarything.com and would be interested in joining. Here is a link to my blog to illustrate my review style

Maggie Farrell was a recommendation from some other LTers, but I have not yet read them - I picked them up in a used book store and they are waiting for me on my ginormous TBR pile.

Thanks for the recommendation, Michelle.
Michelle, I have finished 'The Voluptuous Delights of Peanut Butter and Jam' by Lauren Liebenberg. I really enjoyed it and have reviewed it on my page.
Cheers,
Karen
Yes, finally got those pics working. Thanks for your help! And sorry I didn't reply sooner; I only just saw your message. I finished The Garden of Rama today - a very enjoyable read. I'll probably wait a little while until I read the last instalment.

Hello!
46 now! : P

Hi Michelle,

I'm also sorry I never made it back to the forum, and must stress that it was nothing to do with anybody there. Everyone was really friendly and it seemed like a great place...trouble is I am a member of a few forums, and I found it hard to keep up with everyone, so I stopped going to a few.

I would definitely be interested in reviewing books though - are there any more details I need to know?

Thanks for thinking of me,

Ruth
Hey Michelle -
Yes I would be so grateful if you could change my Username on BCF. My spelling error annoys me everytime I see it!!
Kx
Hi Michelle, thanks for accepting my invite.
We share 10 books so far, sure it will be more soon

Hi Michelle

Glad you enjoyed 'Out of My Depth' - I found it too be one of her best as it was quite edgy and heartstopping at times while being humourous. I remember reading it very quickly as I was so engrossed in it. The first one of hers I read was 'Plan B' - also a good read but I've enjoyed all her books. I did find though that with reading a lot together in a short space of time that I started to find them a bit samey - so leave gaps in between and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Happy reading

JudyB
Happy New Year!
Waving madly to you too! Hello!
Thanks for the invitation to join the BCF group...but you were too late.....I had already found my way to it....lol.

HI Michelle,

Sorry, I have no idea why I wrote 'member' as I knew you owned it! Just off there now!
Hi Michelle,

I see you are a member of Book Club Forum - me too, although I haven't been there for a while, because I've been away on honeymoon!

We share quite a few books - obviously we both have great taste!

Ruth
thanks for the invite michelle!
I thought it was so creepy. It really kept my attention, but gave me the shivers.
Sorry it took so long to respond. I've been away from LibraryThing for a while. How did you like An Open Vein?
I will have a look at your bookclubforum.uk.. but I amnot int he UK?
does that matter?
Hi there! I just happened to see your review of Memory Keepers Daughter... and I agree! I loved that book.. it was a terrific read. Just thought I would pop in and say so :)
Good review!

Hi, thanks for your comment. I have read The Distance Between Us but not Esme Lennox. I did enjoy it and in parts it made me cross because I just wanted to shout into the book at Jake not to marry Mel and not to be so useless and start doing something. If I really enjoy a book I get quite involved in it, a bit like when people shout the answers to quiz shows at the TV.

It's a coincidence you emailing me because I'm in the middle of reorganising my house at the moment because of decorating and so seven of the bookcases are being moved about and TDBU is now back on my by the bed pile of books I want to re-read. Now you've reminded me I think I might bump it up the pile a bit.

Maggie O'Farrell is on my list of authors who haven't let me down with a book but for some reason I haven't really been sure about Esme Lennox. Let me know what you think about it and see if you can change my mind about giving it a try.

Of the three books I have read, they seem to have a similar theme in that woman leave their homes for various reasons not always apparent to family and friends. Alice leaving London for Scotland with no warning, then immediately turning around and going back. Lily moving into a virtual strangers flat, Jake and Stella running away from their lives. I've just finished reading A Little Stranger by Kate Pullinger and she has a similar theme to this so perhaps you might enjoy it too.
Thanks have done it!!!!
Yes I have thought that a few times - we have a very similar taste in books! : )
Help,
How do I add favourite authors on here?
Louise
Hey Michelle!
I've finally managed to add everyone from the forum (from the group here) so I'll be watching you... (Hmm, a bit creepy that, lol) x x x x x
