About meI come from a long line of voracious readers, and have passed along my love of books to my son. I read almost everything from satire, to non-fiction, to cereal boxes. Am always looking for suggestions or recommendations!
About my libraryI have been tracking my reads since the end of 2002 and there is a wonderful mix of books, and some non-fiction as well as fiction. I have no particular favorite genre, and am open to reading just about anything!

There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift, that there are those who will be afraid.
They will try to hold onto the shore.
They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination.
The elders say we must let go of the shore,
push off into the middle of the river,
keep our eyes open,
and our heads above the water.
And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate.
At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally.
Least of all, ourselves.
For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves!
Banish the word 'struggle' from your attitude and your vocabulary.
All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
WE ARE THE ONES WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR.

If you aren't doing anything this weekend or next you should head down to Calgary for the big Calgary Herald book sale. It is for charity. They have over 700,000 used books for sale this year. I usually show up with a suitcase on wheels and fill it up. :-) Its loads of fun. Here is a link to my blog post with all the details http://www.shoptoit.ca/blog/?p=415

It's so amazing to find people from all over who have similar tastes in books! I've had Master Butcher's Singing Club laying around for a couple of years. I am so glad I finally read it. It was a great story.
