Thanks for the traveling tips. I have a huge interesting is Norse (Viking) history. I'm guessing I'll find plenty of that in the museums.

The movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was probably the movie that sparked my interest in medieval history. That was years ago, too many years for me to count, but I still love studying that period in history. I recently read a novel by Stephen Lawhead (Hood) that was supposed to present a more accurate rendition of the Robin Hood legend. His Robin Hood actually came from Wales. Not sure of the accuracy of Lawhead's research, but it was a somewhat entertaining read. I've yet to read a truly convincing account of the truth behind the Robin Hood legend. Wish I could read Swedish; your suggestion sounds very interesting. Only English and Spanish for me :)

Getting sidetracked a bit. I would love to visit Sweden at some point. Where would you recommend I go for a first time traveler to the country?

Always nice to find others interested in medieval history. I found your profile through the Medieval Europe group. Any particular book you would recommend? What's your favorite non-fiction book on medieval history? I'm always looking for new books to add to my library. Thanks.

I just usually make these pilgrimages to Scifibokhandeln - you know, dragging everybody with me when on a "Day in Stockholm" cruise :D

It's a beautiful place
ooh, you've got excellent taste!
always great to meet others who can appreciate a good book.

and the sight of so many DWJ books just warms my heart any time.

I am a bit jealous, though, of you living in the same country as the Science Fiction Bokhandel.
