About meSomeone once wrote in my yearbook, "To a girl who reads entirely too much." Look up bookworm in the dictionary and that's my picture.
About my libraryI'm obsessed with history, so you might see a preponderance of that in my collection. I have passed over more classics than I care to admit simply so I can devour another historical non-fiction tome. But since I'm writing a genealogy of my father's family, I consider much of it research. Seriously.

I hope you're enjoying your time on LT so far. The only issue I have with it is, it keeps me from reading and gardening sometimes it's so much fun. I guess that's a good problem, though! It is a bit like a garden though - the more you tend your LT account, the more it gives back.
I lived in Alberta myself for a while, just long enough to qualify as an official Albertan, I think. Please pass along a high-5 from me to your husband.

Welcome to LibraryThing! It's an awesome site.
I think your book is a good idea. I often think about how much experience, knowledge and history is lost with the passing of each generation.
All of us grandchildren were fascinated to listen to my grandma talk about the explosion, and many school projects were based on her first-hand account. The memories stayed clearly with her until her death at age 90.
Enjoy exploring LibraryThing.
