I really liked it. It wasn't as strong as my favorites of hers (Grass, Sideshow, Gate to Women's Country, for example), but it definitely held up, and I really like the ideas of where our lives turn and how that changes who we become. Makes me think about all the different parts of who I am, and why some ended up petering out. I was just talking to my husband about this, too.

I ordered a copy of Blood Heritage, one of her "horror" novels. I have The Bones, and it was kind of fun, so I wanted to read the first one. I own a used bookstore, and I'm always recommending her to people!
Yeah, I didn't like it as well - some of her books just leave so little impact, and this was one of them. I'll probably reread it, though, just to see if there is something I missed. I finished The Margarets last week, and that was a lot better. Had an interesting idea about alternate versions of self. Have you read it yet?
Sadly, I haven't read it yet! I have so many books, I'm always stumbling across books I've bought and haven't read yet... was it good? I just reread Grass and Sideshow with a friend of mine who had never read any of her books.
