About meRetired forensic chemist and crime scene analyst, also worked for 20 years as a part-time sheriff's deputy. Married with two grown daughters and six grandchildren. Trying to catch up on decades of lost literary reading. I am a coffee 'snob' and roast my own exotic coffee beans. I'm also an amateur photographer and a Missouri Master Naturalist.
About my libraryI read all genres with few exceptions. Most of my 'to-read' list comes from book discussion group listings, objective reviews and personal friends. I am a member of the Neosho/Newton County Library discussion group, and current president of the local Friends of the Library. With a few exceptions, I tend to avoid requesting books in a series unless they are effectively 'stand alone.' I began entering books into LT in 2011. I am also active on Goodreads with over 350 reviews and have many more books entered there, having joined them earlier in 2010.
