I never received an answer to my inquiry, I just got the book in the mail. Sort of like an unexpected present! I've had pretty good luck with requests. I usually keep them short and sweet, mention that I review on my blog, as well as LT, goodreads, shelfari, etc. I also include a link in my emails to both my blog and my LT profile. I figure if they look at my profile, it might help when the publicists notice that I review regularly and that I read a lot of whatever author I'm asking about. (Hope Lincoln Childs see's it my way, I really want to read that one too!)

My first Picoult book was My Sister's Keeper, which I just loved. Then I started working my way through her bibliography in the order they were published. Started with Songs of the Humpback Whale, and progressed from there. I try to read her new stuff as it comes out though, so one of these days, I'll meet myself in the middle of her bibliography and be all caught up on her writing. She is a really wonderful writer!

I don't know if it will be a problem scoring the books from publishers since you live in Canada, I sure hope it doesn't!

Good luck and thanks for the friend add!

Kelly
I just noticed that you have the most books in common with me under the weighted category.
No problem, Cindy. I did forget to mention that it is definitely not a book for your son. Hope you're staying warm.
Sounds good! Thanks!
Sorry to bother you again Cindy, but when did you receive the Kosher by Design cookbook because mine still hasn't come yet and so now I'm thinking I may not be getting it afterall (I even keep Kosher so this book would be so amazing - I hope I get it!)
Hey Cindy,
I notice that you've added "Where Am I Wearing" to your library and I was wondering when you got it (so I know when to expect it because I got the confirmation email a little while ago).
Thanks,
Sheri
Hi Cindy,

I'm not sure I thanked you for linking to my review of The Nettle Spinner in the end! Thank you! I hope you enjoy it and I'm looking forward to reading your review.
Hey Montreal Girl - I'm an Ontarian
Thanks, Cindy! I did get your email too. I'm so looking forward to reading this book!

See ya Saturday!

Just wanted to say hi to a fellow Montrealer and tell you that I like your blog!

Sheri
Thanks so much for your wonderful review, Cindy. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Tomato Girl.

Best,

Jayne
I mean, the 'good review, period', not 'good review, question mark'. Gotta work on my proofreading.
Hey, thanks for a good review? Glad you enjoyed it.
I'm hosting a giveaway for The Book of Lies on my blog and I'll ship to Canada. I think you'd like this book.
You are in a real treat with Tomato Girl. I'm anxious to see what you think.
Hi Cindy
and welcome. You will find an interesting, well-read group of people here.
I recently read Jodi Picoult's Plain Truth and found your name on a list who had added this book to your library.

I really liked the book..my first of Picoult's and I'm curious re. what you thought of it.

I see other Picoult books in your library as well. I started Second Glance today and I like it thus far.

And, welcome to LT.

Hi again,

Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you! I live in St. Henri. I mentioned my get-together idea to Nitestar as well to see if she'd be into it. Maybe we can even try to exchange a few books?
Hello again,

Maybe we should initiate a Montreal LT get-together! I've got to say I'm curious about La BOOK-tique -- I don't go to the West Island very often, so I'd never heard of this bookstore.
Hi: Welcome to Library Thing! You will see how addictive it is! I see that you have already heard from our fellow Montrealer Avis. I actually met Avis recently -

Its nice to see some Montreal people here. For some reason, I always feel like I am the only person in Montreal who reads ARCS.

I see by your library that you like chick lit - your library seems very similar to mine!!!

After only a few months with a book blog, I have managed to find some great online places that will supply me with books to read. I love it.

Maybe we can exchange books at some point. I live in Verdun and by your profile, I am guessing you are in the West Island? I love Pointe Claire village!!!

You mentioned that you were reading a few arcs. Which ones are they?

Anyway, I should get back to work (my day job). Hopefully, we can email soon.

Please see my private email in my profile - its easier to email through our private emails :)
