About me30-something book fan originally from Cornwall, UK, now living in Plymouth, Devon. I love books - they are my life. I can't stop buying new ones and adding to the ever growing TBR pile! :)

Favourite 'book' quotes:

"When something is bothering me, I seek refuge. No need to travel far; a trip to the realm of literary memory will suffice. For where can one find more noble distraction, more entertaining company, more delightful enchantment than in literature?" - The Elegance of the Hedgehog, Muriel Barbery.

"The things I want to know are in books; my best friend is the man who'll get me a book I ain't read." - Abraham Lincoln.

"I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library." - Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice)

"A million candles have burned themselves out. Still I read on." - Montresor

About my libraryVaried books including fiction, ancient/medieval history, mystical, classics, horrors etc. If it's in print, I will read it!

I see you also enjoy crime thrillers with plenty of gore and even a bit of the supernatural! My first Mo Hayder was Pig Island, a stand-alone but my goodness, it got me hooked immediately. Thanks for adding me to your list and keep up the reading and reviews

Hi Lu, I have weeks when I barely read a thing but as I have had the last 2 weeks off work I have managed to get a fair bit of reading done. I seem to be really into the classics at the moment and started 'Little Dorrit' yesterday, I'm really enjoying it but I guess Dickens is one of my favourite authors. I see you added 'Lord of the Flies' to your collection, have you read it before?, it's one of my favourites. Speak soon.

Hi Lu

Thanks for the message. I'm glad you like my library, I spend far too much money on books but it brings me so much pleasure. I'm so glad that you are a fellow 'Da Vinci Code' fan, I really enjoyed it but so many people seem to rubbish it. Looking forward to chatting with you about books etc.
Love, Teresa xx
