About melove boxing half naked in a heavy thunderstorm or blizzard 15 feet away from active train tracks in an abandoned construction yard rocky dirt pit with jeep headlights illuminating the scene and blaring hardcore punk or heavy metal. and having your back to the train as is roars by with the ground rumbling and the wind and the lightning flashing and the most intense primal state directly controlling your actions to hit your opponent as furiously as possible in an effort to get distance between you and the train, just go in the direction of the blinding jeep headlights, and if it doesnt work tackle opponent to the ground, just gain distance or security from the train. and having no sense of cold if you fall into the snow, or feeling the adrenaline flood in when you get flipped over your opponents back and land on hot burning embers, without immediate relief by rolling off since hes already on top of you driving his fist into your face. and being able to take hit to the clenched abdomen and not losing your breath, letting bruises form spans across your sides and arms, but their infliction not causing any pain, at times relishing and abusing the insignificance of getting hit. and afterwards going to a bar stinking and covered in blood and ignoring it all to discuss something about communist revolutions as people watch from afar. while smoking handrolled tobacco. and spark interest in others listening, create ideological awareness in dormant corners, feed flames, give direction, and maybe try to recruit a new fighter. reflect on the animal spirit on the drive home with your head out the window and some heavy music back inside. and go home with a sense that youve crafted something, written, or honored something expired in society.
then not being able to feel your face a few days after the matches, and sometimes slurring your words the next day, or constantly dropping your pencil while writing. and sniff up your daily nosebleeds during your presentation on the laffer curve.
and finding new environments to have matches in -> desolate hill peaks in empty dying west nebraska, dully echoing rusted mississippi barges or semi trailers shredded apart in a fenced in lot, next to large bonfires popping out hot ash for barefeet.
i really love that
