About meA children's librarian in Tucson. I love children's and YA books, heavy on the fantasy and funny, silly girl books, but really I read just about anything.

About my libraryI'm using LibraryThing to keep track of the children's/YA books I read in my job as a children's librarian. Leave me a comment if you know of any books I should read.

How are you enjoying Lonely Hearts Club? I enjoyed the book.
Definitely read Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. It is amazing for kids. Its part of a trilogy, so you can read the other two books as well. They are titled Inkspell and Inkdeath. These three are a must- read for any librarian!
Hi, nice to meet you. Thanks for accepting my request I think we can share a lot here
Enjoy Skulduggery! It's a great one. I liked the sequel, Playing with Fire, even more. Thank you for your kind comment. The MLS program I was hoping to get into is filled up, so I have to put it on hold for a semester... which gives me more time to work at and learn from my public library!
Hi from New Zealand, mosylu1. I've been looking through your teen tagged titles, as we have a fair few in common. Nice to see someone else who likes similar YA stuff to me. I'm putting this collection together to support a presentation that I'm doing at our national librarian's conference in November. The only downside of looking through a great collection like yours is that I spot too many titles I want to read, and of course these haven't reached NZ yet!
Here's a suggestion for you - [Maureen Johnson]'s [Suite Scarlett], which I thoroughly enjoyed. In fact, I'm going to feature it in my presentation. May I add you to my friends?
Thanks so much for your comment about Story of a Girl, Maureen. I'm currently wrapping up the revisions on my second book, which should be out in Summer 08. Meanwhile, a couple of my favorite YA books to recommend are A Room On Lorelei Street by Mary Pearson, and Scrambled Eggs at Midnight by Heather Hepler and Brad Barkley...
