About meRead voraciously, love movies, landscape collage artist, swimmer, knitter, cook, hiker,
gardener, composter, try to eat locally, try to be a low profile consumer, patronize thrift shops for as much as possible, three grown children, grandchildren, scientist husband, live near Hudson River outside NYC

About my libraryMy favorite books are The Eustace Diamonds by Anthony Trollope, Ahab's Wife by Sena
Jeter Naslund, Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurty, anything by Annie Proulx. Trollope is probably my favorite author.
My library downsized over last three years from a lifetime collection to a smaller collection of mostly art books, my favorite Trollope, Dickens, Lessing and the currently used cook books. My daughter (in the style of our warped family humor) kept asing me: I get the cookbooks when you die, right Mom? She's gotten them now and I enjoy seeing them on her shelves. I use my public library system, second-hand book stores and mostly pass books on when I'm finished unless it's something I know I'll need to revisit.

The kids are deeply involved in the Little House books, and arguments are breaking out all over the place as to who is Laura and who is *not* going to be baby Carrie. Our little princess is now Ma a good chunk of the time and we have to play various other parts or be ware the consequences.
love you!
Wow, You don't waste time, do you. You've put together quite a little library in three days. Better start thinking about getting a paid membership.

I tried to interest my sister, but I think she doesn't have any real motivation to lt, and doesn't have the time to do it for fun. I'm so glad you're enjoying this. I knew it would be right up your alley. Love you.
Hi
I did read Ahab's Wife some time ago, found my bookcrossing review and just added it to my LT library, so I have my review written eons ago there now. I remember (and now my memory was refreshed, finding my old review) that I enjoyed the book. I think I might posit it as a book for my neighborhood book group to read! I'm glad you enjoyed my review of Voyage of the Narwhal; it is on my shelf of my all-time favorite books.

And welcome to LT! I LOVE this place!
