Happy new year and great reading for 2012! - Karen
I sure did! One of my friends is a member of two wonderful acting companies in Chicago and I just saw their adaption of The Moonstone. I don't wonder you were laughing at the message. (And I shudder to think what I might have written if we were discussing PMS!)

Have a good day.

Elaine
Wow! I can't think of a more clever adaption of a Victorian novel than Lifeline's Moonstone. And the set was wonderful. Do you always try to choose a fun play to work on after something as wrenching as In Darfur? Looking forward to the next season for the 'line' theatres.

Elaine
Hi there, mrgroo! :)

Thanks for the add back to your Interesting Library Collection. I see many of my lovely GD fans amongst the List, so I'll be quite happy here. :)

Much Bliss & Purrs,
~Pandora~
Larry,

Don't know if you have seen this thread, but I suspect it would be of interest:

*facepalm* I've been working too hard. It's a good a reason as any other to claim I need a break! :P
And the same to you (belatedly and with apologies) xx
And the same to you!
Hee hee!
:o)
Have fun and good luck with your tours!!!
Groo! I missed your message until tonight and the real bummer is that I actually was in DC too. I hope you're enjoying this gorgeous weather. The Tidal Basin was a mad scene today... Next time you're in town, give me a shout on FB. I'm there more often.
Gah! Unfortunately, I'm busy tomorrow. I wish I'd known or I'd have cleared the calendar.
The below link does not work correctly. It will take you to a page where, if you scroll down to near the bottom, you'll see the correct link :D
I've added data to Wikipedia! :D About the origin of Archie's Riverdale... check out the first paragraph of the section called "Origins" in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riverdale_(Archie_Comics)

:D
Yay!! Fingers crossed, holding thumbs! :-D
sent. It's a bit blurry I'm afraid. I need more practise with these modern technologies.

'Fox.
I've just seen your comment on the thread.

I like it, it does what I want it to do without fuss. You'll want to get the Calibre library software from MobileRead (free) Mobile Read which is fine website with lots of useful info as well.

Things it doesn't do:
Search, dictionary, keypad/annotations, read MOBI files (Calibre will convert non-DRM files into Epub just fine - but you can't buy from Amazon, though there are lots of other sources out there)

Particular plus points - the LightWedge cover, easy navigation intuative to use, good screen display.

Put it this way. I'm currently reading some pbooks, because I'd bought them. I'd much rather read them as ebooks.

If you've got any specific questions feel free to ask. - note I can't buy the kindle here and haven't been able to directly compare them.
Thanks for the inquiry, yes, they will be.

I checked last week in behalf of a recruit stationed in Iraq, and was told, that all nine of my current titles are in the pipeline. I've put in a query to ask when to expect them - waiting, due to short staff/summer schedule and many personnel out on holiday. I understand other format e versions are out now - Reading_Fox is aware of them.

Hope you are having a great summer! (I do lurk alot more than I post)
You're welcome.

I am so happy to see you posting again!
:o)

Meh, I went out with my Anime Blogger Buddies or ABB's, to see the new Star Trek movie. Still sans any form of girlfriend, but single life isn't so bad. I played Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Magic: The Gathering with an old friend who I've known for eight years.

My brother is in Queensland and I phoned him, I haven't heard if the record storms up there are affecting him! He's been ok, but he has lots of assignments and has been a bit ill.

Had a flu shot yesterday and my arm is officially sore. Plus side is I no longer wake up with a sniffly nose every morning!
I'm back, Mr. Groo, I'm back on LibraryThing with some new books to put in. How have you been keeping?
Just wondering if you've gotten around to reading either of your Santa thing books yet? Curious to know your thoughts.
Congratulations to Jody thread started here - http://www.librarything.com/talktopic.php?topic=61694. Please come and join us.
Oh, Groo, that sucks. A dodgy boss can ruin even the best of jobs. Here's to your boss having a sudden desire to become a missionary in central Asia.
I wasn't sure that anyone would get my "How do you dress" reply either (I said "To the left") but someone did. Just post and hope for the best!

Yes, insomnia is very frustrating! I took something for a migraine around 8:30 and crashed. It was very good sleep while it lasted. I'm going to lay back down and try to read a bit. Take care! Have a great rest of the week.

MrGroo,

Hadn't "seen" you around lately so I came here to say hey and found everyone else clamoring for Facebook friend status, so, me too! me too! I'm friends with Misti T. and Karen B. on there already and I managed to find the Green Dragon group on Facebook, too . . . you aren't still AFK, are you?

Elizabeth
ooh, cool, groo. I will friend you all.
Yeah, I'm on Facebook, so I'm off to try to find you! Wish me luck!
Thanks, groo! However, there are 427 group results for Green Dragon. Any chance you could send me a link to the group? Even if you just narrowed it down to 5 or so and let me guess which one was the REAL GD.
OOOh....I've flatout refused so far to get anything like facebook but if YOU guys are there...I may just join. :)
Thanks for the feedback.

I friended you on facebook. I don't know the other people's real names!
Hi Groo!

No, I'm not, but daughter is a keen Facebooker. She's put Better Half on (not without protest from Herself), and knows better than to ask me...
Awesome, send me an invite on there!
:oD
otay
Well, if I don't see you around then I'll do it
yes, I LOVE that picture of him...
make sure you let folks know that 1247 is YOURS...
How are you doing? Haven't seen you in a while, how you been?
How are you doing? Having a good week?
Great photos of the inauguration! Thanks for posting them. I kept scanning looking for my students. :)
You are too funny! :)
