About meI am an inveterate collector ... er, accumulator who has somehow managed to shake almost all my addictions save books. I've been in and out (sadly always too early!) of comics, movie posters, original art, 16mm films, etc. My other main interests are old time radio, vintage tv, and music. I have one of the largest collections of vintage tv -- so large in fact that I can never seem to find anything I'm looking for (sound familiar?). I stopped counting CDs when I passed the 10,000 mark quite some time ago.
About my libraryI am slowly entering my books and at the rate I'm going I'm only taking a baby step forward. I can't seem to resist a bargain and the cheap book prices (I find lots for a dollar) coupled with my wide-ranging interests results in about 40 books being added week in and week out. My local library sells books six for a dollar (turning green, are you?) and the other day they were so desperate to unload some that they offered to let me take a whole cart for $2. I felt a little guilty about that so I paid them $5 for a cartload (126 books). I'm praying that private ownership of books will be banned (just kidding -- you can take a joke, can't you?) because that's pretty much the only thing that'll save me. This entry (like my life) will pretty much be a work-in-progress and will be refined if time ever permits. Oh yeah, I've got a blog too: bookheaven.blogspot.com
