Noticed you liked The Sound and the Fury, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also southern, a bit violent, and a bit dark :) I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter)in case you'd like to read more about the novel before you commit:

I enjoyed your review of The Franchise Affair! Especially this part:

It’s actually refreshing to read a story in which the ‘underdog’ really is given the back-handed dignity of being held accountable for moral choices.

I disagree, though, that the solution is clear from the outset. I thought it was uncertain, at least for the first half of the book, which side was lying. Of course, I could just be a bit slow on the uptake :P
I really liked your comment on Atomised by M. Houellebecq
We were in Korea from 1965 to l985 -- two years in Seoul, one in Soonchun, and 17 in Kwangju (Southwest, about four and a half hours south of Seoul).
Thanks for your comment on my review of The Thirteenth Tale. It caused me to look up your review -- which I thought was excellent! -- of that book. I loved your summationL overwritten, overrated and not recommended!
Hello, I'd like to invite you to check out LibraryThing Local Hong Kong. I've posted a number of local bookstore, library and event venues and would love for more local members to add their favourite book-related spaces or upcoming events. Any favourites you'd like to add or comment on? Regards, Christine.
