I really haven't found any other books about book collectors or dealers.
My tastes have pretty much run to adult mysteries (ie. Erle Stanley Gardner), to juveniles (especially the original Hardy Boys -- not the watered down pap of the 1960s versions -- and to Tom Swift Sr.)

I read somewhere he kept adding pages and adding pages to that manuscript until he thought he would go mad and then had to cut a lot before publication. I really liked the old radio station scenes and the scenes which demonstrated the fear and the poverty that existed during World War II. The people were great characters.

In case you're having trouble finding the thread in which you posted asking for help (there have been several responses), here's the link:

There is an excellent thread about the Civil War in the group What Are You Reading Now? the complete title is What Are You Reading now: The Civil War.
Be glad to talk about books!
Yes, while the Ciivil War is known by that title as well--usually only by unReconstructed Southerners--it's also known as The War of the Rebellion--by unReconstructed Northerners! Depends on your viewpoint, doesn't it.

I haven't read the Painter of Battles yet. It sounds really great. I'd like to hear your opinion when you are done with it.
Waiting for the books to be translated into Danish can be such a pain.
Have you read The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruis Zafon? If you like the Spanish ambience, and a clever intricate plot this is a good book.

It is good to see you on LT again. If you want to converse with someone, you leave a post on their profile page. Any messages for you will be on your profile page.
Anyway, I have two weeks until summer vacation. Then I will be tearing up the pages in my summer reading. I can't wait. How about you?

I also enjoy some of the "talk" unless they run on and on with their opinions. I DO love to talk about books. I've only begun to list my books...and have found so many books to read here--good grief, there are not enough hours in the day!!
