About meI'm a children's librarian (of fairly recent vintage) in a suburban Chicago public library. It's a career change after more than two decades in journalism. My library reflects only my reading in the children's literature field (not that I do much else these days). I don't review, but do make comments, some pointed, mostly markers to remind me of talking points about these books. Books I've booktalked and the new batch of Caudill award nominees have more extensive comments attached.
