now, i wonder if suicide here is suicide as an act, or a category of literature? if it's the first, then, i'm talking to a dead man. otherwise, i'd resort to a footnote camus makes in the myth of sysyphus, where reference is drawn to a french author who, in a claim for publicity of his book, committed suicide. unfortunately, this drew no little notoriety to his work. i never find much joy in revelling over death, short of aurelius's notions of it as an absolute end, *the* ultimate, untimely end, to which all human action is but the reverse side. (if we're to reduce things to dichotomies, which i find distasteful.) roll tide.
