About me ALT on the JET program living in Japan for a couple years before hopefully pleasepleaseplease going to grad school for classical Japanese, my true love in life.
About my library Books that aren't in Japanese are going to be in rare supply while I'm in Japan. I have a lot of Japanese stuff in the original Japanese and am constantly working to expand my collection...
Favorite genres in English are fantasy, young adult, science fiction, graphic novels, plays, literature... well. A lot. My library also has a bunch of books I inherited when my uncle died that I might never read. So if you see a textbook about, say, finances that is 50 years old, and wonder what the heck I would have such a thing... There you go.

Your "why do I own this?" tag made me laugh. I should probably have one of those, except I've tried to get rid of the books that would otherwise be tagged that way (like all the Auel I somehow picked up over the years).

Just wanted to thank you for the Secret Santa picks. I LOVE them! It was absolutely perfect that they gave me someone with a Japanese lit degree. I have the Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead DVD, so am looking forward to another good Tom Stoppard challenge. Old Things *Are* Awesome. :) I hope you enjoyed your SS picks.
