About my libraryThere are a lot of old puffin storybooks listed here, (especially childrens' hist fic), either kept since childhood or repurchased since cos I loved them. A later stratum is books about childrens books, from when I was a young bookseller working that section. Those started with John Rowe Townsend's Written For Children. Which led me to the history of childhood, via Aries' Centuries of Childhood to later writers. Which sidestepped me into various social histories.
20 years ago I had a heavy victorian novel habit. Nowadays it's massmarket history and fantasy, usually female-written fantasy, more or less half and half.
