About meHmm, I work as a system admininistrator (hence my handle 'network'). My current hobbies are working out at the gym, photography and studying tutte cose italiane (and soon riding a road bike). I used to be a serial hobbyist which goes a ways towards explaining the number of books that I have. Now I am making a concerted effort to become "master-of-some" rather than "jack-of-all".
About my libraryMost of books listed here are boxed up else I'd wake up with a word-encrusted belly a la Smaug. Lots more to be catalogued. The books have been acquired either following painstaking research or impulsively at the book megastore. The purpose of the books was to carry out the cardinal maxim of the fellow in the picture.
Perhaps I don't acquire them at the rate that I used to. The question "have I read them all" is laughable since numerous of them are works with which it could take many years to become deeply intimate, however I still enjoy them. I fantasize about one of those man's dark rooms with all the books up in the high, high built-in shelves with the rolling ladder.
