I enjoyed reading your review of this "classic." I agree with your analysis of the series and the puzzling popularity that has always encompassed it. It's not enough to say that it's just your age group that has made this iconaclastic as I own each of the books and had the final delivered to my house on the day of release. I guess it has always been a kind of comfort and reliable entertainment to follow all these years. What will we do (and read) now???
