About me My name is Nikolaus Leo Overtoom and I'm a Graduate student at the University of Maryland. I am 23 years old. I won the first ever Gil Samples Award for best undergraduate history paper in 2006. I plan to follow in my Dad's footsteps and become Dr. Overtoom as well as a Professor. Although I am not completely sure, I plan to get my PhD in Roman History or maybe Byzantine History. Both of which are fields that fascinate me. I would love to someday become a writer and/or a professor. I'd also like to travel Europe and study their history from Rome to the Middle Ages.
