About meI hold an MFA in Creative Writing and teach college English writing and literature. I'm an award-winning editorial cartoonist, have performed at ten improv festivals, and teach improv acting. My interests include writing, playing the ukulele, spending time with my wife, volunteering, being terrible at most video games, and re-telling the same old anecdotes over and over. You can read my blog on writing, improv, and creativity at The Scrawl, and I'm the co-founder of Scrawlers.com, a free online writing workshop encouraging original 100-word short stories.

About my libraryA few old favorites and nice new finds, recent recommendations, poetry, YA, literary magazines, favorite writers, creative inspiration, and writing craft.
