About meI live and work in the Canadian Arctic as a criminal lawyer and my work takes me to almost all of the communities in the Canadian North on a regular basis. I list reading on my CV as one of my hobbies. I spend a lot of time flying around the North so I go through a great deal of mind-candy, but I also occasionally settle down with a "good book". While living in the North provides me with plenty of time to read, I miss going to book stores. Finding LibraryThing and being in touch with other booklovers (albeit at second hand) has been a great find.

About my libraryLots of mysteries (see mind-candy reference above), history, some philosophy and popular science and anything else that strikes my interest when I trawl through the bookstore on my trips south.Get Your Own Real Time Visitor Map!

thanks for your reply to my question below. Being a lawyer myself, I'm interested in your no doubt unusual practice. Reading anything lately that you would recommend?
What is the place in the picture?
HaHa.. that sounds exactly like me except I don't just encounter a book store on my travels from one city to the next I encounter them daily. I have to stop myself. I was actually just at Chapters tonight and bought a few new books. They were from the bargain book section so I can at least justify it that way. Anyhow I hope all is well with you. Things here have been alright. Not too much going on. Just getting my paperwork together to get on the supply list. I just got a recommendation from a principal so things are well on their way now.
haha.. yep I spent a better part of last Saturday morning getting them in. How was your flight back home?
