About meI retired in 2000 after working in the systems department of an insurance company for thirty-three years.

I am interested in my Stone-Campbell religious heritage, which is an American "Restoration Movement" made up of churches from three "streams": Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), nondenominational (aka "independent") Christian Church/Church of Christ, and churches of Christ (a cappella).

The photo above was taken May 22, 2005, the day the plaque marking the first burial site for Barton W. Stone was dedicated on his farm four miles southeast of Jacksonville, Illinois. The plaque is sponsored by Lincoln Christian College & Seminary (now Lincoln Christian University) and the Illinois State Historical Society. (Click on the image to read the plaque.)
