About meI teach religious studies in two Chicago-area community colleges. My research interests lie not only in modern Paganisms but also modern Western esotericisms, and connections, both direct and indirect, between these and Neoplatonism, Hermetism and Medieval and Renaissance esotericisms.

About my libraryThis is my professional/academic/religion/occult/ma... arts library, with a few touches of relevant fiction.

Oh noes! I has been assimilated.

Ah, yes, the fun of evil. Worst part is, I've only listed like, what, 15% of my books so far?
Hi Nuadu,

Thanks for bringing LibraryThing to my attention! I'm having a lot of fun checking out other people's book collections.
Hello Nuadu,

I am delighted to see that you are reading _Behind the Looking Glass_ (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2008). I hope that you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. It is a wonderful peek "behind the looking glass" into Lewis Carroll's secret world of Neoplatonism and occultism. I see from your academic background that we share much similar territory.

Hello Nuadu, thank you for connecting with me. How fascinating you're into both religion and martial arts. Not that both can't coexist but it's certainly not common. You might want to check out my book called "The Art of War--Spirituality for Conflict." Again, the two ideas combined. Let me know if you have questions. Sincerely, Thomas
Thanks for sharing! I'm not familiar with many of those works, so I have a lot to check out. I really appreciate it.

Here’s wishing you a fantastic day filled with fabulous fates, fanciful festivities, and frolicking phantom footstools.

-Jeremy :)
If you don't mind sharing--I was wondering, what's your favorite book(s) of all time?

Here’s wishing you a weekend filled with wacky whims, wonderful weirdness, and well-disposed werecats.

-Jeremy :)
>>Ah, I see you are on the Horus Temple GD yahoo group as well.
Yes I am among others.
Hi,

Thanks for the reply. You have greatly helped me. My other question is in the beginning Adam and Eve were chosen to populate the world. Their combined effort produced a product that God would drown in the great flood. It was Noah and his families turn to populate the world. When I look around at our world I am unsure if the second repopulating was any better then the first. Thanks for the time. Ken
Hi,

Thanks for the ear. I read Paradise lost and my question is about Noah. God had decided to rid the earth of all of his creations including animals, kids and every
other living creation except for Noah and his family and 2 of each animal. My question is in the selection process of who dies and who lives. What was Noah and the two animals doing that set them apart enough to spare their lives? If this choice had to be made now who would be spared?
Hi,
