I like to incorporate 'level of enjoyment' into ratings. For all that feelings easily vary over time and across situations, it makes sense to include them.

My more critical views and reviews go on blogs.

You really need to rate more books. Or at least tell me where all the books you read are listed. If I am forever ignorant of your feelings (about the books you have read), I cannot improve upon the selections of previous years.

(Although, to be fair, I suppose you could say the same about me.)

Well at least the LJ Smith books were fun to read in middle school. I think the author became ill because Strange Fate never came out. Did the world end?
