I wouldn't call him nice, but engaging and blunt, with a touch of (public school?) confidence even while confessing his past errors! IF he appears near you, well worth meeting: he took questions very seriously and didn't fight shy of hurting peoples' feelings when necessary. Not very comfortable, but stimulating!
