About meI read 2-3 books a week. I'm picky about purchases and only buy books I plan to read again. I love my local trade a book store!

I work as a trainer which includes instructional design, schedule management and every once in a while I get to teach a class!

About my libraryMostly books about vampires, witches, magicians, Weres. They are very trendy right now which is soooooo unlike me. I do think the bulk of my personal library falls under "speculative fiction" rather than horror/romance sellers categorize them.

I feel qualified to say so because I also have Heinlein, Moon, Bujold...I could go on and on about how categorization in libraries and new book stores and most used book stores is just really bad!

I have romance, thriller, poetry and some of my childhood favorites too!

Thanks, Omafarmersdotter, for the thumbs-up. It has taken me awhile, but I believe I'm beginning to develop a wry sense of humour, which helps a fellow deal with this often crazy world.

Thanks, too, for the hint about Awful Lit, which I find at first glance lively and provocative and thought provoking, too. None of it seems terribly serious on an academic level, but that itself is pleasant. DHLawrence, for instance, is one of my favorite authors, and to find people attacking him forces me to justify my own high opinion of his work, without having to write a dissertation on the subject.
