I liked what you wrote about John Preston's My Life As a Pornographer. That book was my introduction to his work; thanks for presenting the book in a way that makes it seem accessible.
Yeah! That is cool. I love Roberta Gregory. I wish she'd put out something new. I miss Naughty Bits.

We share "Grande Dames of Detection," eh? I actually haven't read it yet. I grabbed it from a free bin at one of my old favorite book haunts, Berkeley's Friends of the Library. I was attracted to the Edward Gorey illustrations. Have you read it? Are the stories fun?
Saw your review of College of Magics. You said all the things I would have said -- what a great book. I've not yet gotten my hands on anything else by that author, but I'm trying.
