About meMy father is a compulsive collecter of classics, near-classics, and "instant masterpieces" as defined by Kirkus Reviews, ca. 1973. To this day, my own collection tends more to genres and outliers than mainstream fiction.

About my libraryI've got a modestly-sized humor collection, a few classic mysteries, and some Budget Holmesiana(TM). Other than that, it's Everygeek's Library. And yes, there's a smattering of comics in here, but it's a select smattering.

At the moment, I'm going for "own" and "have read" and (mostly) "have enjoyed" as criteria for adding books here. Plus a few interesting failures, because where would humanity be without occasional snark? Wellington, New Zealand, that's where.

Kafka on the Shore is great. I'm thisclose to the end, and I need to finish it. I got distracted by new Fables Trades and re-read the whole series this weekend.

The Boy Detective Fails was one of those books that enjoyed reading at the time, but I'll be damned if I can tell you anything about the book. I just have this vague feeling of enjoyment. Oh well.
